Continuous Casting Protective Slag
Continuous casting protective slag is a powdered or granular additive that is regularly added to the surface of the molten steel inside the mold.
Properly selected mold powder limits heat loss and re-oxidation of molten steel, absorbs non-metallic inclusions, and reduces friction between the mold and the solidifying crust.
