Graphite Electrodes

Graphite electrodes enable the melting of the metal charge in electric arc furnaces by converting electrical energy into heat through the arc.

It is produced by subjecting raw materials such as petroleum, pitch, and coal tar pitch to the processes of calcination, shaping, baking, graphitization, and precision machining. It offers low electrical resistance, high conductivity, and high-temperature resistance.

KEY FEATURES

  • Low electrical resistivity
  • High thermal and electrical conductivity
  • Low ash content
  • High-temperature resistance and machinability

APPLICATIONS

  • Electric arc furnace (EAF)
  • Ladle furnace (LF)
  • Steel and Alloy Production

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Grades RP, HP, SHP, UHP
Diameter range Approximately Ø100–Ø800 mm
Primary raw materials Pine scent, calcined petroleum scent, and coal tar pitch
